Detroit Area Relocation Sales Rep: (1 position available)
To apply for this job, you must have at least 2-3 years experience in the transportation, freight industry with some knowledge in residential/commercial local moving, and long distance moving, storage, and packing services with only any applying candidate having strong experience in sales need to apply.”Cold calling” sales techniques are also needed. HHG programming and Techmate palm pilot experience helpful but we are willing to train. Ability or understanding for calculating weight and/or labor time may be required / training for this is possible. Van Line / Line Haul / Broker Semi Driver Wanted (4 positions available) (Note: This position carries the ability to lift and / or carry 50 pounds or more)
We have several openings for qualified class A & B CDL Drivers owner/operators at our Fraser, Michigan branch office (14 mile & Groesbeck Hwy). Broker drivers are urged to call. To be eligible, you must possess a valid Chauffuers License or CDL driver’s license with no more than 4 points on record. No prior criminal, drug or alcohol violations in the past 5 years. You must own or lease your own Straight Truck (26 foot minimum truck required) or Semi Truck with Trailer with all proper verifiable insurance in place.. Also you must possess a DOT health card or be willing to get one upon being considered being hired. You must be able to be out of state for at least 1-3 days at a time to make hauls out of state (may be out for more than 5 if you request). Have at least some experience in providing professional moving services in all levels of our industry. Basics must include standard truck driver knowledge, standard pro moving techniques with knowledge of all equipment, inventorying, bill-of-lading, cash management, packing, and storage experience. If you don’t have the truck and/or experience but have a valid Chauffuers or CDL license, we can put you in our EZ Moving Training Program. Once the training program is complete…you may qualify for the drivers position. To qualify for this job and be considered for top salary pay you must have verifiable experience in international, military, and commercial moving and packing services. Driver’s pay is paid on a percentage of each job completed. Once interviewed, pay and position will be discussed in much more detail. The average van line driver can make an average of $16.00 – $40.00 per hour (based on size / weight of each job hauled based on commissions paid), which can equate of salaries between $40,000.00 – $175,000.00 per year! Job Synoposis: You will have the ability to work in homes valued at $300,000 to $500,000 and even $1,000.000 or more and have the opportunity to work with some of the best customers in the world working alongside with some of the best talents the relocation industry has to offer within our moving company here in Michigan.
To be eligible, you must possess a valid Chauffeurs driver’s license with no more than 4 points on record. No prior criminal, drug or alcohol violations in the past 5 years. You must also possess a DOT health card or be willing to get one upon being considered being hired as well as you must pass a Drug Screen. You must be able to work at least 30 – 40 hours a week with possible overtime. You must have at least some furniture / appliance experience in professional moving and packing (Experience = Having done real moving with a furniture / appliance related company or a real professional moving company). Basics must include above all; good customer communication skills and carry the ability to go the extra mile for complete customer satisfaction on every relocation you do. Basic requirements also include standard truck driver knowledge, standard pro moving techniques with knowledge of all equipment, inventorying, bill-of-lading, cash management, and storage experience. If you don’t have the experience but have a valid chauffeur’s license, we can put you in our EZ Moving Training Program. Once the training program is complete…you may qualify for the drivers position. Some overnight instate / out of state driving jobs / moves may be needed with this position.
To qualify for this job and be considered for top salary pay you must have some experience in international, military, and commercial moving, storage, and packing services, along with some knowledge in inventorying. Drivers pay is paid hourly of each job completed. Once hired. Pay and position will be discussed in much more detail.
Pay structure is as follows: The average local driver with 1-2 years or less years of verifiable experience starts $12.00 – $13.00 per hour / 3 to 4 years verifiable experience will start at $13.00 – $14.00 / and drivers with 5 or more years verifiable experience will start out at $14.00 to $15.00 per hour or more depending upon verifiable background moving / driving experience. (based on experience in the industry), which can equate of salaries up to $35,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year! (Annual Salary projections are hypothetical and are only based on averages of past employees and should not be considered guaranteed). After you may also qualify for company paid vacations as well.

Professional Packers Wanted (1 position available)

We have several openings for qualified packers who have an extensive background in packing of fine china, crystal, glass stemware, books, dishes, pictures, files and an assosrtment of other delicate and non delicate items you would normally find in a typical home or office. Female packers are also urged to apply for this postion and are viewed as the best candidates for this postion although men may apply for this as well..
The ideal person would be a cadidtate that is able to work 10 – 20 hours a week (part time currently) and transition up to 30 to 40 hours a week from May thru September (based on industry demand in our area). Must have clean background free of any crimes and be trustworthy and above all honest. No drugs or alcohol abuse is tolerated. Must have a clean driving record and dependable transportation. Must be clean and have a professional appearance and have good communication skills to tend to each of our customers needs on a daily basis.
You must have a clear consensus of leading a team and have good knowledge of box sizes and each of its usages for packing certain items that need to be packed. You will be asked to work with management and follow instructions to each relocation and prep the customers home for the movers to arrive and relocate the customer / client.
Rate of pay for this will be at starting rate of $8.50 per hour and up to $10.00 per hour. Rate of pay will be soley based on experience and previuos emplyment background.
